Diffusion Light
Today, I wanted to mention a research paper from Google Colab that I find interesting.
"DiffusionLight: Light Probes for Free by Painting a Chrome Ball"
Recently, I noticed a post on Linkedin that talked about Diffusion Light and it outlined a method for creating HDRs from solo input images. That is without taking different exposures on location (could be midjourney or stable diffusion or whatever) that could be used for lighting in vfx. I thought about experimenting with these chrome balls using the technique …so here is first pass.
Next step downloading the repository and messing around with scale and resolution,
so the next post I make about Diffusion Light will have to do with that.

The video is a bit slow I recommend 1.5x or 2x the speed if you watch it.
